Big news for transatlantic travelers: JetBlue just announced the launch of two new European routes from Boston, marking another bold expansion of their international service. Starting in summer 2026, JetBlue will operate daily nonstop flights from Boston (BOS) to Barcelona (BCN) and Milan (MXP).
Route Launch Dates
- Boston (BOS) → Barcelona (BCN): Begins April 16, 2026
- Boston (BOS) → Milan (MXP): Begins May 11, 2026
Both routes will be operated with JetBlue’s Airbus A321 aircraft featuring their flagship Mint business class, known for private suites, elevated dining, and chic design.

How Much Does It Cost in Points?
JetBlue’s transatlantic flights, including the new routes to Barcelona and Milan, are bookable using JetBlue TrueBlue points. Award pricing varies based on demand and cash prices, since JetBlue uses a dynamic pricing model.
If you’re planning to fly in economy, you can often find one-way award tickets starting around 13,000 points during off-peak times, but prices can rise significantly in the summer or close to departure.
For those eyeing JetBlue’s Mint business class, expect to pay anywhere from 86,000 to 116,000 points one-way, depending on the route and date. While not the cheapest way to fly to Europe in business class, JetBlue Mint is consistently praised for its quality, with fully lie-flat seats and elevated dining.
You can use Seats.Aero to find the best available dates. You will need the Pro version to be able to search more than two months ahead (highly recommend having this if you travel often, it’s only $99 for the whole year).
You can transfer to JetBlue from multiple credit cards, but beware: transfer ratios vary by issuer, and sometimes the redemption value isn’t the most optimal compared to other airline programs.
Still, if you’re looking to fly nonstop from Boston in a premium cabin with great service, booking JetBlue Mint with points can be worth it—especially during a transfer bonus window.
