Alaska miles work on all Oneworld partners plus airlines like Fiji Airways, Condor, and Starlux. Buy exactly what you need. Calculate the exact number of points required for your redemption, add a small buffer and buy that amount. Don’t buy 190,000 points “hoping” you’ll use them later, unless you’re already very familiar with the program and redemption rates/availability.
Check your targeted offer. Log in and see what bonus you’re actually getting. If you’re only seeing a 70% bonus, the math changes significantly (2.21¢ vs 1.98¢ per mile).
