Chase just launched a 30% transfer bonus to three Avios-based airlines: Aer Lingus, Iberia, and British Airways. The bonus runs through December 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET and applies to Ultimate Rewards transfers to any of these three programs.
What makes Avios particularly versatile is that all Avios airlines use the same currency, and you can freely transfer points between them at no cost. So whether you send your Chase points to British Airways, Iberia, or Aer Lingus, you can then move those Avios into whichever program offers the best redemption for your trip.

This matters because each program prices awards differently. Iberia is known for incredible business class deals between the US and Europe (as low as 34,000 Avios one-way), while Aer Lingus offers some of the lowest Avios pricing for transatlantic flights to Ireland. At the 30% bonus, that 34,000-Avios Iberia fare needs 27,000 Ultimate Rewards points (34,000 ÷ 1.3 = 26,154, rounded up to the next 1,000-point increment, which yields 35,100 Avios). For scale, 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points become 65,000 Avios, and a 77,250-Avios business-class fare is covered by transferring 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which yields 78,000 Avios. With this bonus, it pays to compare Avios redemption rates across airlines before transferring points — and to only transfer what you need for a specific booking.
