Mastercard lounge access has officially expanded beyond Priority Pass with the launch of Taste of Priceless, a new dining-focused lounge concept now open in Hong Kong and São Paulo, with Mexico City confirmed as the next location.
This is Mastercard’s most direct move yet into the credit card lounge space that Amex, Chase, and Capital One have dominated for years. Instead of buffets and crowded seating, Taste of Priceless leans into à la carte dining, chef-curated tasting menus, and signature cocktails. Two are open now and a third is on the way.
What Taste of Priceless Actually Is
Taste of Priceless (also branded as Taste by Priceless) is a premium airport dining experience designed for select Mastercard cardholders. The food and drink program is the real draw. Rather than a buffet, the lounges offer sit-down dining with locally inspired menus, signature desserts, and two Mastercard-branded cocktails called Priceless Passion and Priceless Optimism.
There are also workspaces with power outlets and free high-speed Wi-Fi, but the focus is clearly on the meal.
Where the Lounges Are Open Right Now
The first location opened in São Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) Terminal 3, just past passport control on the right side. Paid access in São Paulo runs about R$500 (roughly $100 USD) per person, and as of April 2026 the location restricted free access to World Legend cardholders only due to crowding, which means Hong Kong may eventually follow the same model. The newest location opened on May 9, 2026, at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) in Terminal 1, on the Level 7 mezzanine near Gate 40. Hours run from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
The Hong Kong location occupies the space that used to belong to the Chase Sapphire Lounge, which was split into two when Chase pulled out. Half became Taste of Priceless, and the other half is now the Kyra Lounge.
Mexico City International Airport (MEX) is the next confirmed location, though no opening date has been announced.
Which Mastercards Get You In
Access is tiered, and the free list is short. World Legend and World Legend Exclusive cardholders get unlimited complimentary access for themselves plus three guests. World, World Elite, and World Select cardholders can buy in at a discounted rate.
For the Hong Kong location, paid access for World and World Elite cardholders is $70 USD (HK$550) per person through August 31, 2026, then jumps to $85 USD (HK$700) after that. Additional guests beyond the three included for World Legend holders also pay the $85 rate.
Eligible cardholders can enter within three hours of their scheduled departure on a same-day confirmed boarding pass. Connecting passengers need to show both their arrival and onward boarding passes to get in.
In the US, the World Legend tier currently includes the Citi Strata Elite Card, the Bilt Palladium Card, and the Citi AAdvantage Globe Mastercard. Notably absent is the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard, which sits one tier below despite being the more expensive American Airlines card. Citi has indicated the Executive card carries World Legend benefits, so a formal upgrade seems likely. The list of US World Legend cards is expected to grow as banks roll out new premium products.

How Mastercard Lounge Access Compares
Mastercard lounge access has historically meant a Priority Pass membership tacked onto whatever premium card you carry. Taste of Priceless changes the math for World Legend holders specifically by adding a network-branded dining lounge that competes directly with Amex Centurion, Chase Sapphire Lounges, and Capital One Lounges.
The catch is that the free tier is genuinely narrow. Most Mastercard holders, even on premium products like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Capital One Venture X (both Visa or World Elite Mastercard depending on issuer), will be paying $70 to $85 per visit. At that price point, you’re competing directly with paid day passes at established lounges.
Who Should Skip This
If you’re not flying through HKG, GRU, or MEX, this is a meaningless update. The footprint is small and there’s no announced US expansion. If you already have strong lounge access through Priority Pass, Centurion, or Sapphire Lounges, paying $85 for a single visit is hard to justify unless you specifically want the dining experience.
The locations and access tiers will likely shift as Mastercard expands the program, so the value proposition is worth watching but not worth chasing a new card for today.
Bottom Line
Taste of Priceless is a smart play by Mastercard to stake out its own territory in the airport lounge race, but the practical impact for most US travelers is limited right now. If you hold a World Legend card and you’re flying through Hong Kong or São Paulo, it’s a clear upgrade to your travel experience. For everyone else, this is a launch to watch, not a reason to switch networks.
