Bilt Rent Day October 2026: Up to 200% Hilton Bonus, Status Match, Amtrak Partnership

Bilt Rent Day on October 1, 2026 brings two transfer bonuses at once: up to 200% to Hilton Honors with instant elite status, and up to 125% to Amtrak Guest Rewards, Bilt’s newest transfer partner. John Legend hosts this month’s Rent Free game, and the lineup also includes a Member-exclusive vinyl, a private show in San Francisco, and a new way to donate points to Scholarship America.

The Hilton offer is the headline for most people, and the status match matters more than the bonus. Amtrak is the sleeper, especially if you ride the Northeast Corridor.

This Month’s Bilt Rent Day Offers (October 2026)

Hilton Honors Transfer Bonus + Instant Status (Up to 200%)

On October 1 only, Bilt Points transfer to Hilton Honors at a 1:1 base rate with a bonus based on your Bilt status. Blue members get 75%, Silver 100%, Gold 150%, and Platinum 175%. Platinum members can spend $200 in Bilt Cash to reach 200%. The bonus applies to up to 100,000 Bilt Points.

Any transfer, of any size, also comes with instant Hilton status through the end of 2026. Blue and Silver members get Hilton Silver, Gold members get Hilton Gold, and Platinum members get Hilton Diamond. Complete a stay challenge by the end of the year and you keep or upgrade that status through March 31, 2028: 6 nights in 90 days takes Blue and Silver members to Gold, and 12 nights in 90 days takes Gold members to Diamond or lets Platinum members keep Diamond.

Hilton is back three months after July’s run at up to 200%, so if you missed that one, this is your second chance this year.

What the Hilton Bonus Is Worth

At Gold, every Bilt Point becomes 2.5 Hilton points. At Platinum, it becomes 2.75. With the buy-up, it becomes 3.

The buy-up needs a closer look. At the 100,000-point cap, a Platinum member gets 275,000 Hilton points at 175% or 300,000 at 200%. That’s 25,000 extra Hilton points for $200 in Bilt Cash, or 0.8 cents per point. Hilton points rarely redeem above that, so the buy-up only makes sense if you already have a specific high-value Hilton stay lined up. On smaller transfers the math gets worse: move 40,000 Bilt Points and the $200 buys you 10,000 extra Hilton points, which works out to 2 cents each.

The real prize for Platinum members is the instant Diamond status. Even a small transfer gets you there, and Diamond gets you executive lounge access and space-available upgrades through the end of the year.

Amtrak Guest Rewards Transfer Bonus (Up to 125%)

Amtrak Guest Rewards became Bilt’s 21st transfer partner on September 23, 2026, and it gets a bonus on its first Rent Day. The base rate is 2:1, so 2 Bilt Points become 1 Amtrak point. On October 1, Blue members get a 25% bonus, Silver 50%, Gold 75%, and Platinum 100%. Platinum members can spend $400 in Bilt Cash to reach 125%. The bonus applies to up to 100,000 Bilt Points.

What the Amtrak Bonus Is Worth

Amtrak points have a mostly fixed value toward fares. Frequent Miler puts it at about 2.56 cents per point on Acela and about 2.9 cents on other routes. At Platinum’s 100% bonus, the 2:1 rate turns into 1:1, so each Bilt Point is worth roughly 2.56 to 2.9 cents in train travel. That’s a strong return for a fixed-value redemption. At Blue’s 25% bonus, you get 625 Amtrak points per 1,000 Bilt Points, or about 1.6 to 1.8 cents per Bilt Point.

Skip the Amtrak buy-up. At the cap, $400 in Bilt Cash buys 12,500 extra Amtrak points, which is 3.2 cents per point. That’s more than the points are worth toward fares on any route.

Rent Free ft. John Legend

John Legend hosts this month’s Rent Free game ahead of Muse, his new album produced and co-written by Pharrell Williams, out October 23. The better he does, the more Members win. The game opens Friday, September 25 at 12:00 PM ET and closes Thursday, October 1 at 3:00 PM ET. Results post in the app after 4:00 PM ET on October 1.

The top 10 scorers each win a month of free rent (up to $2,500) and a signed John Legend x Bilt vinyl, and more rent winners get added based on how many questions John Legend gets right. The next 100 players get 1,000 Bilt Points, and the next 500 get 100 Bilt Points. Entry is free.

John Legend x Bilt: Member-Exclusive Vinyl and Private Show

Members can pre-order a custom vinyl of Muse with a cover John Legend shot just for Bilt Members. It costs $19.95, goes on sale Friday, September 25 at 9:00 AM ET while supplies last, and ships around October 23. Members will also have a chance to unlock access to a private John Legend show in San Francisco on October 21. Bilt says more details are coming.

Donate Bilt Points to Scholarship America

Starting September 25 at 9:00 AM ET, Members can donate any amount of Bilt Points to Scholarship America, which helps students pay for college. Donations are points only (no cash or Bilt Cash), and 100% goes to the organization. The fine print matters here: Bilt says a points redemption to a designated organization doesn’t count as a charitable donation for U.S. tax purposes, isn’t tax deductible, and won’t come with a receipt.

Bilt is also working with Legend to cover rent for 50 students at four universities he picked: Morehouse College, Central State University, Wilberforce University (the nation’s oldest private HBCU), and his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania.

The Card That Makes This Easy: Bilt Palladium

The Bilt Palladium comes with Bilt Platinum status, which unlocks this month’s top tiers: 175% to Hilton with instant Diamond, and 100% to Amtrak. It earns 2X on non-housing purchases, which becomes 4X on October 1. The current offer is 50,000 bonus points plus Gold status after $4,000 in spend in 90 days, $300 in Bilt Cash on approval, 4% Bilt Cash back, and a $400 annual hotel credit, with a $495 annual fee.

Double Points on Bilt Cards

On October 1, every Bilt cardholder earns double points on purchases other than housing and tax payments, up to 1,000 bonus points. Blue cardholders earn 2X and hit the cap at $1,000 of spend. Palladium cardholders earn 4X and hit it at $500. Obsidian cardholders earn 6X on their chosen dining or grocery category, 4X on travel, and 2X on everything else, so the cap hits at about $334 in the 6X category.

Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s Grocery Offer (Targeted)

Targeted cardholders earn an extra 5X points at Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe’s, up to 1,000 bonus points. That works out to 7X on Palladium, 6X on Blue, and 6X or 8X on Obsidian depending on whether your 3X category is dining or groceries. The offer runs from September 25 through the 30th at 11:59 PM ET, so check your app for your exact end date. If you’re targeted, just use your Bilt Card at checkout.

Neighborhood Comedy Experiences

There are 17 comedy venues across 12 cities this month: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle, Somerville, Chandler, Austin, Boston, and San Diego. Standard comedy club shows cost $30 to $40 (2,000 to 2,500 Bilt Points) and include two drinks. Bespoke shows cost $75 (5,000 Bilt Points) and include two drinks and light bites.

This month’s bespoke venues are Desert 5 Spot and Gem Home in New York, Bardot at the Avalon in Los Angeles, Ranger Station in Atlanta, Grace by Nia in Boston, the Emerald Lady Cruise aboard Chicago’s First Lady, Ascend Steak and Sushi in Seattle, and The Palace Theatre in San Francisco.

Members can put up to $50 in Bilt Cash per month toward a comedy show. The limit is 4 tickets per person, and all sales are final. Booking opens Saturday, September 26 at 11:50 AM ET for Platinum and Gold members and 12:00 PM ET for Blue and Silver. It closes at 11:00 AM ET on the day of each show, or when tickets sell out. Shows run throughout October.

Neighborhood Dining Experiences

Dining grows to 45 restaurants across 9 cities, with Las Vegas and Los Angeles joining Arlington, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Jersey City, Miami, New York, and Washington, DC. Most experiences are 3 to 4 course tasting menus or omakase for $40 to $75 (2,500 to 5,000 Bilt Points). Drink add-ons cost $20 to $46 (1,500 to 3,000 Bilt Points) at select venues and have to be bought when you book.

This month also has two premium one-night events: a 10-course dry-aged fish tasting at The Butcher’s Counter at Joint Seafood for $280 (18,500 Bilt Points), and a four-course New York City Wine & Food Festival dinner at Carne Mare with Chefs Andrew Carmellini and Hillary Sterling for $350 (23,500 Bilt Points).

You can use up to $50 in Bilt Cash on one dining experience and pay the rest in cash. Each booking allows up to 4 seats, and you can book as many experiences as you want. Booking opens Saturday, September 26 at 11:50 AM ET for Platinum and Gold and 12:00 PM ET for everyone else, and it closes Wednesday, September 30 at 5:00 PM ET. All dinners are on Thursday, October 1, and all sales are final.

Free Fitness Classes

SoulCycle has 875 spots and Barry’s has 580 spots for free, Member-only Rent Day classes, with exclusive add-ons at both. Classes drop Friday, September 25 at 9:00 AM ET, and booking opens Saturday, September 26 at 11:50 AM ET for Platinum and Gold members and 12:00 PM ET for everyone else. Booking closes Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00 PM ET, and all bookings are final.

Bilt Locals Collection Pop-Up at Bilt HQ

The Bilt Locals Collection gets a pop-up at Bilt HQ (837 Washington Street, Meatpacking) on Thursday, October 1 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while supplies last. Members can shop the collection in person and get a free Cookshop hot dog. You can pay with Bilt Points, Bilt Cash, cash, or any linked card, and all purchases are final. You don’t need to RSVP, but Bilt asks you to RSVP in the app. An RSVP doesn’t guarantee food or product; it’s first come, first served. The pop-up takes the place of the usual Rent Day programming at HQ this month.

Who Should Skip This Month’s Offer

Skip the Hilton transfer if you don’t have a stay in mind. Hilton award prices change with demand, and your Bilt Points stay more flexible where they are. The one exception is status: if you’re Bilt Platinum and want Hilton Diamond for the rest of 2026, a small transfer is a cheap way to get it. If you already have Hilton Gold through a Hilton credit card, the Silver match does nothing for you as a Blue or Silver member.

Skip both buy-ups unless the numbers work for your specific plan. The Hilton buy-up costs 0.8 cents per extra point even at the cap, and the Amtrak buy-up costs more per extra point than those points are worth toward fares.

Skip Amtrak if you don’t ride the train. Fixed-value points are only worth it if you’ll actually use them, and moving points you might need for flights or hotels into a rail-only program just locks them up.
