How the Offer Works

You need five separate qualifying purchases of $15 or more, so at least $75 total. You can make them through Rakuten.com, the browser extension, the app, or Rakuten’s in-store and dining program. The 1,500 points come on top of the regular points you earn from each store. Travel, medical and financial purchases don’t count, and not every purchase at every store qualifies.

How to Check If You’re Targeted

Look in your Rakuten account and your email for the offer. Each targeted member’s promo period is listed in their own offer, so check your deadline before you start shopping. There’s no public end date.

Is It Worth It?

It’s worth it if you already have five small purchases planned. You get an extra 1,500 points on $75 of spending, which is 20 bonus points per dollar on top of what each store already earns. Split your orders across the promo period instead of putting everything into one cart, because one big order only counts as one purchase.
