The Chase Paze offer is Chase handing you extra points on top of everything your card already earns, and right now it lines up with the welcome bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred®. The Preferred is carrying a 75,000-point welcome bonus, and stacked against this promotion the math gets genuinely fun.
Here is the part that turned my head: Get approved, clear the welcome bonus, and max the Paze offer at $1,500 every remaining month of the year, and the 10x bonus alone can pile up to 90,000 Ultimate Rewards points on top of that 75,000-point sign-up haul. Fold in your regular spend on the card and you are comfortably crossing 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points before the year is out. That is real, transferable, premium cabin money sitting in your account by December 31.

Chase is also running a separate Paze $10 back offer right now, worth up to $100 per card, which I break down in full here.
Here is exactly how to maximize the math.
What Is the Chase Paze Offer?
Paze is a digital wallet built by Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Capital One, and several other large U.S. banks. Think of it like Apple Pay or PayPal, but specifically for the cards you already have stored with those banks. When you reach checkout at a participating online merchant, Paze appears as a payment option alongside the usual suspects.
The Chase Paze offer rewards you for using it. From May 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, eligible Sapphire and Freedom cardholders earn an additional 10 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar when checking out with Paze at participating merchants. The cap is $1,500 in combined Paze purchases per month, which translates to up to 15,000 bonus points monthly or 105,000 bonus points through the end of the year if you max it every month.
The bonus is on top of your card’s standard earning, not a replacement. That’s where the stacking gets interesting.

Which Chase Cards Are Eligible
Five Chase personal cards currently show this benefit:
Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred®, Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and the older Chase Freedom (closed to new applicants).
Business cards are not eligible. That includes the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business and the entire Ink lineup. Authorized users and customers under 18 are also excluded.
To confirm the benefit on your account, log into Chase, head to the Benefits & Travel tab, and look under “Boost your points” in your card’s benefits section. If you don’t see it listed, the offer hasn’t been added to your card.
Where You Can Actually Use Paze
The merchant list is small but growing, and several of the current options are genuinely useful for points and miles enthusiasts. Notable participating merchants include United Airlines, Newegg, Sephora, Dunkin’, Domino’s, Fanatics, and Whataburger.
A few of these deserve special attention. United Airlines is the standout for travel rewards, since booking flights directly through United via Paze stacks with your card’s airline category bonus. Newegg is worth a look for anyone with a tech purchase already planned, since 10x on a laptop or monitor you were buying anyway adds up fast.
Macy’s is the newest addition and the most useful one yet for anyone chasing the monthly cap. Macy’s has not appeared on Paze’s official merchant directory as of this writing, but the payment option is showing at checkout for a growing number of shoppers. Availability is inconsistent right now, so treat it as a rollout in progress rather than a guaranteed option. If you do not see Paze in your cart, the most reliable reports have it working on desktop browsers rather than the Macy’s mobile app, and some shoppers found it through the Rakuten app as well.
What makes Macy’s worth the effort is that it runs elevated portal rates constantly, which means the stack has more layers here than at most of the current Paze merchants. Two things to watch. Macy’s will not let you use Paze to buy gift cards, so the usual gift card workaround does not apply. And free shipping generally kicks in around the $39 to $49 mark depending on your order, so a small order can lose most of its value to a delivery charge. Store pickup solves that if there is a location near you.
The Two Paze Issues Everyone Is Running Into
Paze has been glitchy, to say the least, and there are currently two separate problems worth knowing about before you plan any spending around this.
The first is Paze simply not appearing at checkout. I was desperately trying to get it to work on the Sephora website, so I logged in on my computer (do not try on mobile) and cleared all browsing data for Sephora. It logged me out, of course, and when I logged back in Paze was magically an option at checkout again. Also note that according to Sephora’s own terms, your Beauty Insider account email must match your Paze registered email. That email match requirement seems to be a common thread across merchants, so it is the first thing to check anywhere Paze is not showing up.
The second issue is newer and more frustrating, because there is no workaround for it yet. At Sephora, the 10x bonus appears to be posting on the first Paze purchase only. Subsequent Paze transactions at Sephora are going through fine and the payment works, but the bonus points are not showing up on those follow-up orders. Chase is aware of the problem. There is no clear fix or timeline as of right now, and no confirmation on whether the missing points will be credited retroactively.
Sourcing flag: this tracking behavior comes from my own testing and reader reports. Chase has not published anything about that I know of, it and I have not seen it confirmed in writing, so treat the scope of it as unconfirmed until there is an official statement.
What this means practically is that if you were planning to grind the $1,500 monthly cap out at Sephora across multiple orders, hold off or spread the spending across other merchants until this is resolved. If you have already made multiple Sephora purchases with Paze, check your Ultimate Rewards activity and call Chase if the bonus is missing, but go in expecting that the rep may not have an answer yet either.
Always Check Rakuten and Rove Because These Offers Stack
Here’s where a Paze offer becomes something more than just a bonus category. Before you check out anywhere, make it a habit to check both Rove and Rakuten, because a lot of these offers stack on top of each other and most people never realize it.
The overlap is the opportunity. When you click through to a participating merchant from a shopping portal and then check out with Paze using an eligible card, you can stack multiple earning layers on the same dollar: your card’s standard category bonus, the Paze bonus, and elevated portal rates from Rove or Rakuten on top.
The merchants change constantly and new ones get added all the time, so the move isn’t to memorize a list. It’s to build the habit of checking the portals first, every single time, before you click “buy.” A two minute check can turn one earning layer into three.
If you’re new to Rove, sign up here for 1,500 bonus Rove Miles, plus an additional 5,000 Rove Miles on your first hotel booking of $500 or more using code C9C. Rove Miles can be redeemed toward travel or transferred to Rove’s growing network of airline and hotel partners.
And if you’re new to Rakuten, you can earn a $50 (or 5,000 points) bonus here.
How the Math Works on a Real Purchase
Say you’re booking a $1,000 United Airlines flight and you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve. Book directly through united.com, check out with Paze, and the earning breaks down like this:
Your card’s standard 4x category bonus on flights booked directly with airlines gets you 4,000 points. The Chase Paze offer adds another 10,000 points. Total: 14,000 Ultimate Rewards points on a single flight booking, or 14 points per dollar.
A Sapphire Preferred earner on the same flight gets 2x card category plus 10x Paze, for 12 points per dollar.
The Chase Paze offer also stacks with the Chase Shopping Portal at participating merchants. If a merchant appears in both, you can layer Chase portal earnings on top of card category earnings on top of Paze, which is how some setups push past 15 points per dollar at retailers like Sephora.
Bottom Line
The Chase Paze offer is still one of the rare broad promotions that changes the math on spending you would already do, but the honest picture has shifted since this offer launched. Five full months remain between now and December 31. Maxing the $1,500 cap every one of them gets you 75,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points. That is still a one-way lie-flat seat to Europe on the right transfer partner, earned on spending you were doing anyway, so it is worth chasing. It just is not the same haul it was in May.
Macy’s is the addition that makes the remaining months more realistic. Sephora, Dunkin’, and Domino’s are hard to spend $1,500 a month at without buying things you do not need, and that is where a lot of people quietly abandon this offer. Macy’s carries real ticket prices and runs elevated portal rates constantly, which means it is the first Paze merchant where hitting the cap on genuine purchases is actually plausible. Layer a portal click on top of your card’s category earning on top of the 10x and the same dollar is working three ways.
The Sephora tracking problem is the reason to be careful about where you concentrate that spending right now. Until Chase resolves it, treat Sephora as a single-transaction merchant for bonus purposes and put the rest of your monthly cap somewhere the points are actually posting. Check your Ultimate Rewards activity after every Paze purchase this month regardless of merchant, because a bonus that does not post is worth nothing at all.
